An unexpected incident during the ‘Peraphy Express’ segment of TV5 noontime show ‘Eat Bulaga’ quickly captured the attention of social media users.

The episode featured Angelito Calida, an avid fan of the show, who displayed puzzling behavior that left the hosts and audience bewildered.

Calida was participating in the game with hosts Vic Sotto, Miles Ocampo, and Ryzza Mae Dizon when he suddenly walked away from them and moved to the other side of the stage. His strange actions caused confusion, especially when he placed his hand on ‘Singing Queen’ Anne Ferrer’s shoulder and appeared to have difficulty breathing.

The hosts swiftly reacted, with marshalls and medics being called to assist Calida. Tito Sotto could be heard saying, “May tama ito,” while summoning additional staff members. Vic Sotto then guided Calida back to his original position and inquired about his condition.

“Kinakabahan, Bossing. Siyempre ‘pag ganyan nang kalaki ang pera, nakakakaba na ‘yan,” Miles Ocampo commented, trying to explain Calida’s behavior.

“Mukhang iba’ yung nerbyos niya eh,” Vic Sotto responded before asking a friend of Calida to continue the game on his behalf while the medics checked him.

The incident sparked a mix of reactions from viewers. Some found Calida’s behavior unsettling, while others expressed concern for his well-being.

In a Facebook post following the incident, Calida explained, “Sorry what happy na highblood ako and masyado kabado,” tagging the show’s hosts TVJ.

When asked why he suddenly ran towards Anne and hugged her, he replied, “na highblood po at medyo kinakabahan at kanina babad sa aircon.” He added that the cold temperature in the studio likely contributed to his condition.

When faced with further questioning and skepticism about his explanation, Calida defensively responded, “ok sige gawin nyo na issue ipahiya nyo na ako.”

The incident underscores the unpredictable nature of live television and the importance of preparedness for any situation.
