The highly anticipated return of ‘Lolong,’ Philippine primetime’s leading adventure series, is set to captivate audiences anew with its second season titled ‘Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan.’
Ruru Madrid will reprise his role as Lolong, the brave hero with the extraordinary ability to communicate with his giant crocodile companion, Dakila.
Season 2 promises an exciting new storyline with fresh faces and thrilling encounters in Tumahan.
Returning cast members include Shaira Diaz, Jean Garcia, Rochelle Pangilinan, Paul Salas, Mikoy Morales, Alma Concepcion, and Maui Taylor. This season also welcomes an impressive lineup of seasoned actors like John Arcilla, Victor Neri, Shamaine Buencamino, and Leo Martinez, along with Kapuso stars Martin del Rosario, Rocco Nacino, and Klea Pineda.
In an exclusive interview with GMANetwork.com, Ruru expressed gratitude for the success of Lolong’s first season. “Ipinapangako namin sa inyo na katulad noong ipinakita namin nung season one, araw-araw may bagong pasabog, araw-araw may bago kayong makikita. Pero ang aming layunin at ang aming hangarin naman dito ay makapagbigay ng inspirasyon especially sa mga kabataan,” he shared, adding that the show remains accessible for all ages.
Directed by King Mark Baco and Rommel Penesa, ‘Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan’ promises to deliver a family-friendly and action-packed season.
‘Lolong: Bayani ng Bayan’ will premiere on GMA Prime on January 20, 2025.
