Gabriela backs Angeli Khang following the experiences she had while shooting Vivamax films.
Vivamax star Angeli Khang made revelations in an interview and Gabriela Women’s Party expressed alarm about this.
In a shooting, if things get too physical, there are something that cannot be controlled like the natural reactions as a human being. For Angeli Khang, the actress who is known for her intense roles in several Vivamax movies, she has experienced things like this for a lot of times.
There are several times that co-actors take advantage of the situation and get carried away. They to become extra passionate with her and all of these and more are some of the things she revealed during her interview in “Toni Talks” with Toni Gonzaga.
In times like this, she would always tell her director, however, she did not disclose f certain actions were taken for accountability or if something’s done to make her feel safer while shooting passionate scenes.
Such revelations reached Gabriela and it got them alarmed. They expressed their concern of the confession of the Vivamax Queen.
The statement from Gabriela’s legislative consultant for young women’s affairs Sarah Elago also reflected that her feeling that she was taken advantage of’ while working is a “manifestation of the pervasive exploitation that women continue to face”.
This alarming situation is something Gabriela would like to raise during the budget deliberation of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). They are represented by Rep. Arlene Brosas.
Gabriela expressed their support for the Vivamax actress and to all the women who encounter similar experience.
