On October 4, celebrity couple Mariz and Ronnie Ricketts, together with industry professionals Dr. Eugene Ketselman, Roly Dimol, Dr. Andrei Altavas, and Vladimir Camurungan, officially launched PTXperts Orthopedic, Spine & Sports Clinic.
The new clinic, located at Victoria Sports Tower in Quezon City, aims to promote pain-free living by offering specialized services in orthopedic, spine, and sports physical therapy.
PTXperts provides a wide array of treatments that include physical therapy for musculoskeletal and spinal conditions, orthopedic manual therapy, sports injury management, and advanced pain management techniques such as dry needling, focused shockwave therapy, and ultrasound-guided percutaneous electrolysis. The clinic focuses on managing chronic conditions like back pain, disc herniation, Sciatica, and joint issues such as arthritis and tendonitis.
In an interview during the launch, the couple, married for 30 years, shared the secrets to their enduring relationship. Ronnie highlighted the simplicity of their happiness, saying, “We’re home buddies. We’re partners. I can’t leave the house kapag wala siya. Kapag magte-taping, gusto ko rin kasama niya. I don’t have to tell her where I am. Walang duda ba.” He added that writing letters during their disagreements has helped strengthen their bond.
Mariz offered a light-hearted but practical revelation: their secret to a harmonious relationship is having separate bathrooms. “Hindi naman all the time you’re okay. So, kapag gusto ko makapag-isip, ‘yun ang place ko. Kapag labas ko, okay na ako,” she said, emphasizing how it helps maintain peace and personal reflection.
The Ricketts’ entrepreneurial venture into health and wellness is complemented by their partnership with esteemed professionals in the field of physical therapy. Dr. Eugene Ketselman (PT, DPT, RYT, CSCS, FAAOMPT), Dr. Andrei Altavas (PTRP, DSc, FAAOMPT), and Roly Dimol (PTRP, OMPT-C), along with Vladimir Camurungan, Mariz’s older brother, all bring specialized knowledge and experience to the clinic.
Despite their busy schedules, the couple is also preparing to celebrate their upcoming wedding anniversary in December. “It’s a busy month, but we’ll make time to celebrate in a simple way,” they shared.
When asked about future aspirations, Ronnie mentioned their desire to travel more. “We rarely travel, but it’s something we dream of doing,” he said, sharing that their last trip was to Paris to visit their child.
On the showbiz front, both Mariz and Ronnie are making their comebacks. Mariz recently appeared in two GMA drama series, ‘Apoy sa Langit’ and ‘Asawa ng Asawa Ko’, while Ronnie is set to star in the upcoming action-drama ‘Mga Batang Riles’, alongside Miguel Tanfelix and Zephanie. The series will be directed by Richard Arellano, known for his work on the hit action-drama ‘Iron Heart’.
