RIYADH – Tournament favorites Falcons AP.Bren moves closer to their first MLBB Mid Season Cup trophy as they halt Cambodian champions See You Soon’s deep run at the Amazon Arena, Thursday.

It took the current M-Series world champions just three games of a possible five to take down SYS who were without temporarily-suspended Head Coach Chhim “Catgod” Vitou.

FCAP started their rally with a 13-1 domination in Game 1, with David Charles “FlapTzy” Canon leading the way with a 5/0/7 performance from his Arlott, and captain Angelo “Pheww” Arcangel showing up with a rare Lylia pick, tallying 1/1/11.

The Bees went into the first map pressuring the Cambodian side from the get-go, getting 12 straight kills in as many minutes, before Sovann “Raa” Chanmakara took down Pheww during the last skirmish near their base.

SYS gold laner Kennt Anthony “Souuul” Baesa grabbed three kills in Game 2 but it was not enough as FCAP rode on their Game 1 momentum to take the game 12-6 in just 11 minutes, as counterpart Marco “Super Marco” Requitiano’s Harith grabbed five kills and four assists.

Michael “MPTheKing” Endino’s jungle Bane did some wonders but only managed to get a single turtle as Kyle “KyleTzy” Sayson had an easier life in the jungle.

See You Soon found momentum in Game 3, as the combo of Raa’s Angela and MPTheKing’s signature Roger jungle pick combined for 10 kills of 16 for the Cambodian representatives, including two team fights in which they won against FCAP.

But Falcons AP.Bren was just too much as despite being down by almost 6,000 gold, Rowgien “Owgwen” Unigo’s Tigreal’s Implosion pulled Raa and MPTheKing near the crystal, prompting KyleTzy’s Ling and Super Marco’s Harith to take them down and send Leng “SryImFelix” Kimhak running to no avail.

Sok “BoxiTheKing” Viera had a game to forget as he was taken down eight times while assisting five, with Owgwen and Pheww’s Vexana keeping him at bay for 16 minutes.

With the win, See You Soon will bag USD 100 thousand in prize money as joint 5th-8th placers, while FCAP will figure out in an all-Filipino semifinal showdown against current MPL Philippines champions Liquid Echo tomorrow.
