Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo has expressed his admiration for his co-stars in the upcoming teleserye ‘Pulang Araw,’ referring to Alden Richards, Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, and David Licauco as “Superstars.”
Known for his humility, Dennis acknowledged the talents of his fellow actors and praised their work on the project.
“Kapag makatrabaho mo kasi ang mga Superstars, feeling mo tuloy, Superstar ka na rin,” Dennis said, highlighting the positive energy and motivation he felt while collaborating with his co-stars.
Dennis, who is working with Alden Richards for the first time, spoke highly of his colleague’s dedication. “Makikita mo talaga ‘yung passion niya everytime may eksena kayo. ‘Yung energy level niya na parang hindi siya napapagod,” Dennis shared.
He also expressed his pleasure in reuniting with Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco, noting their continuous development as performers. “Habang lumilipas ‘yung panahon, makikita mo ‘yung growth nila as actors,” Dennis added.
Dennis singled out David Licauco for his commitment to self-improvement, recognizing the significant progress David has made in his craft. “Si David kasi, lagi niyang ini-improve ‘yung sarili niya. Malaking improvement na ‘yung nakita ko sa kanya simula noon, hanggang ngayon,” he said.
In ‘Pulang Araw,’ Dennis takes on the role of Col. Yuta Saitoh, a character he describes as a formidable antagonist who will evoke strong emotions from viewers. “For sure sa simula, galit talaga ang mararamdaman nila dahil kontrabida at masama si Col. Yuta Saitoh,” Dennis explained.
However, Dennis hinted at a potential redemption arc for his character, suggesting that Col. Yuta’s deep-seated anger towards Filipinos has a significant backstory, which could open the door for transformation. “Lahat ‘yan may pinagmumulan at lahat ng masama ay may chance magbago,” Dennis concluded.
‘Pulang Araw’ airs nightly on GMA Prime.
