Real Madrid ‘make contact’ over stunning Liverpool transfer that would destroy Arne Slot’s rebuild

Real Madrid are eyeing another sensational transfer, having snapped up Kylian Mbappe this summer.

Real Madrid are getting ‘concrete’ with a Liverpool star over a summer transfer, according to stunning reports.

Liverpool have yet to make any new signings since the arrival of Arne Slot, who replaced Jurgen Klopp.

And the likes of Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have been linked with moves away from Anfield this summer.

Not to mention Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is out of contract in 2025.

He’s yet to pen a new deal, with German journalist Christian Falk claiming Real are upping their efforts to sign Alexander-Arnold.

Contact has reportedly been made as the Liverpool star is believed to be interested in moving to the Spanish giants.

The 25-year-old has spent his entire professional career at Liverpool since graduating from the club’s youth academy.

He made his debut for the Reds in 2016 and has since compiled 310 appearances across all competitions for the club.

But there’s growing speculation that he could call time on his career at Anfield as talks over a new deal stall.

He’s out of contract in the summer of 2025, with Real believed to keeping tabs on his situation.

Alexander-Arnold leaving Liverpool would be disastrous for Slot, who is looking to rebuild the team after replacing Klopp.

The La Liga outfit, meanwhile, have made serious inroads ahead of the new season, having acquired Kylian Mbappe, with Brazil phenom Endrick joining this month, too.

Florentino Perez appears to be building a super-team with Real already boasting the likes of Vinicius Junior, Eduardo Camavinga, Aurelien Tchouameni, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo.

Not to mention Jude Bellingham, who is international colleagues with Alexander-Arnold.
