Rumors of reconciliation have surfaced about former celebrity couple Kit Thompson and Ana Jalandoni, sparking widespread discussions online.

Speculations started after social media posts containing supposed quotes from the ex-couple suggested they had reunited.

In a recent episode of ‘Showbiz Updates’ on Tuesday, October 29, showbiz insider Ogie Diaz delved into the rumors. According to Diaz, he reached out to Jalandoni directly through Instagram to clarify the claims.

“Tinanong ko si Ana Jalandoni through IG. At tinanong ko nga kung nagkabalikan na sila. Fake news daw ‘yan,” Diaz said. “Wala raw siyang gano’ng sinasabi. Wala siyang gano’ng quote.”

Diaz added that, according to Jalandoni, “Tapos gawa-gawa lang daw ‘yon ng mga tao. Kung hindi manira, gumawa ng kuwento para lang may mapag-usapan.” He further clarified that when asked if she and Thompson were at least on speaking terms, Jalandoni replied, “Pero tinanong ko kung friends na ba kayo ni Kit, sabi lang niya, hindi na kami nag-uusap.”

Thompson and Jalandoni were involved in a highly publicized altercation in March 2022, where Jalandoni accused Thompson of physical assault and illegal detention in a hotel in Tagaytay. The incident led to Thompson facing charges under the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act.

Despite the controversy, Thompson clarified in a September 2024 interview that, while there were rumors about their reunion, they are simply “on good terms as friends.” Both parties have confirmed there is no romantic involvement between them.

As of now, neither Thompson nor Jalandoni has issued an official statement addressing the current rumors, but sources close to the two maintain that they have not rekindled their relationship.
