Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo has come forward to defend his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose, following accusations made by his mother, Angelica Yulo.
Carlos refuted his mother’s allegations about a training camp incident in Japan. Angelica had claimed that Chloe’s presence disrupted the camp, which was meant for Carlos, his brother Eldrew, and national player Miguel Besana. He clarified that there was a miscommunication and that they usually stay in hotels during training camps.
Regarding the accusation that Chloe was distancing him from his family, Carlos clarified, “Sabi niya pa na feeling niya daw nilalayo ako ni Chloe sa kanila.
Chloe added that her family had made efforts to resolve the issues through a group chat that included both families. “Even though my family knew na marami na siyang pino-post, my family still welcomed them, treated them with respect and with no judgment na pinaringgan nila yung side ng mom mo, what she had to say about me and our relationship. And then, after the group chat, she left, your mom left. Wala siyang narinig anything from my family,” Chloe explained.
Carlos concluded with a heartfelt message to his mother, acknowledging her recent congratulatory message but also expressing the lasting impact of her hurtful words. Napatawad ko na kayo a long time ago po. At sana nasa maayos kayong kalagayan diyan lahat.
As Carlos Yulo continues to excel in his athletic career, he hopes for resolution and peace within his family, urging everyone to focus on celebrating the achievements of Filipino athletes at the Olympics.
