Actress Andrea Brillantes has addressed allegations that she received special treatment during Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts concert on October 5 at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, clarifying that her early arrival was the reason for her prime spot in line.
The actress took to Instagram after some fans speculated that she bypassed the regular queue. Brillantes explained that she lined up early to secure her place and that no preferential treatment was involved.
“I just realized I worded that poorly, and it came off as me bragging about my spot. But y’all got it wrong,” Brillantes wrote in an Instagram Story. “What I meant to say was, sa aga ko pumila kaninang umaga, I ended up first in line in my queue number lane. Kaya ako lang tao nandun because I lined up very early for it.”
She further stressed that her position was not due to any VIP access. “It wasn’t VIP treatment or anything magical,” she clarified.
Brillantes shared earlier posts showing herself waiting in line with only a few people around, indicating that her morning arrival allowed her to be first in line for the sold-out concert.
Other celebrities spotted at the concert included Sharlene San Pedro, Radson Flores, and Marian Rivera, who attended with her daughter Zia.
Rodrigo’s Guts concert attracted a massive crowd, with fans eagerly lining up to see the Grammy-winning Filipino-American singer-songwriter perform.
