ABS-CBN and GMA Network continue to dominate different programming blocks, with ABS-CBN reigning over primetime and GMA Network maintaining its stronghold on the afternoon daytime slot.
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida lineup continues its dominance, while GMA’s afternoon series remains unbeatable in daytime programming.
On Monday, September 16, FPJ’s Batang Quiapo (FPJBQ) held its position as the top entertainment program with a 15.9 percent rating, far ahead of Pulang Araw with 8.9 percent. Following FPJBQ, Lavender Fields also led its timeslot with a 9.1 percent rating, outperforming Widows’ War at 8.0 percent. However, “Pamilya Sagrado” trailed behind “Asawa Ng Asawa Ko (ANAK)” with 5.3 percent versus 7.1 percent.
In the afternoon block, Abot Kamay Na Pangarap led with a 9.0 percent rating, followed by Lilet Matias at 8.4 percent and Shining Inheritance at 6.0 percent.
On Tuesday, September 17, FPJBQ surged further, topping both the entertainment and overall ratings charts with 16.1 percent. Lavender Fields continued to dominate its timeslot, securing 9.2 percent, ahead of Widows’ War at 8.3 percent. “Pamilya Sagrado” improved slightly to 5.5 percent but still fell behind ANAK, which garnered 7.1 percent. AKNP meanwhile maintained its fternoon leadership although its rating decreased by 0.3 percent to 8.7, same with “Lilet Matias” which dropped to 8.1 percent. “Shining Inheritance” on the other hand, increased by 0.8 percent to 6.8 percent.
Wednesday, September 18, saw a slight dip for FPJBQ, which dropped to 14.6 percent but maintained its lead over Pulang Araw at 9.3 percent. Lavender Fields slipped to 8.4 percent, cutting its lead to 0.6 percent over Widows’ War at 7.8 percent. “Pamilya Sagrado” held steady at 5.5 percent, while ANAK stayed at 7.1 percent. The afternoon leadership meanwhile was shared by AKNP and “Lilet Matias” which both scored 9.0 percent while “Shining Inheritance” further soared to 7.3 percent.
On Thursday, September 19, FPJBQ rebounded to the number one spot overall with a 15.4 percent rating, 6.1 percent ahead of Pulang Araw at 9.3 percent. However, Lavender Fields continued its downward trend, tying Widows’ War at 8.1 percent. “Pamilya Sagrado” saw a slight increase to 5.8 percent but remained behind ANAK with 7.5 percent. In daytime, AKNP took solo lead again albeit lower rating of 8.5 percent followed by “Lilet Matias” which scored 7.7 and “Shining Inheritance” posting 6.1 percent rating.
Finally, on Friday, FPJBQ solidified its leadership with an increased rating of 15.9 percent, widening the gap over Pulang Araw at 9.0 percent. Lavender Fields rebounded to claim the third overall spot with 10.4 percent, leaving Widows’ War behind at 8.1 percent. “Pamilya Sagrado” also secured a win over Amazing Earth, 5.9 percent to 4.4 percent. AKNP also defended its afternoon leadership with 8.4 percent, followed by “Lilet Matias” with 7.9 percent and “Shining Inheritance”scoring 6.8 percent.
