The streak of ‘Kalokalike Face 4’ contestants getting international attention, seems to have just started.

And it is highly likely to continue as the It’s Showtime segment remains on air. The competition among celebrity impersonators notably returned to the noontime show, on September 2, this year, after nearly 10 years of hiatus. Daniel Alermo, the Vice Ganda-impersonator from Davao City, took home the previous ‘Ultimate Kalokalike’ title, March 14 in 2015.

Looks like bringing back this segment is a smart choice, as many appreciated the diverse new impersonators who have joined the show so far, not to mention, some contenders have actually penetrated the international scene.

After global sports fan communities picked up the viral LeBron James and Stephen Curry impersonators. The Jordan Clarkson-impersonator, soon joined the show, late September, and as expected, also made into the global sports radar.

However, it was one  the latest daily winners, Kent Villarba, a.k.a. Bruno Mars, who arguably generated the most sensational buzz, as the original artist, himself, expressed his admiration for his performance in the show.

On Instagram, via Story, the global superstar and singer-songwriter, reposted a clip showing a portion of Villarba’s impromptu performance on It’s Showtime, last October 4.
