The Olympian gave the country a gold medal in men’s floor exercises of the artistic gymnastics competition.
“Caloy,” as many would call him, will be given P10,000,000 by the government as mandated by Republic Act 10699, GMA News reported.
He would also be given by the Philippine Sports Commission an Olympic Gold Medal of Valor from the Philippine Sports Commission.
The Philippine Olympic Committee has pledged to give a house and lot to a gold medalist, and a property developer has also pledged a lavish condominium unit.
Carlos Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast known for his exceptional skills and achievements in gymnastics. He gained international recognition for his performances in various competitions, particularly in the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He has now brought home the first gold medal in gymnastics of the Philippines in the Olympics.
The post of the mother of Carlos Yulo, Angelica Poquiz Yulo, surprised everyone. It seemed that the mother of the Olympian was actually in favor of someone else. In the comments, there were so many reactions to her post. Just the same, many netizens congratulated Carlos.
Previously, it was Hidilyn Diaz, who brought home an Olympic gold medal to the country. She returned to the Philippines after 18 months at the time that she was competing. It can be recalled that she was stranded in Malaysia due to the lockdown before the Tokyo Olympics 2020. She arrived home via a Philippine Airlines flight along with her team and Filipina Olympic skateboard finalist Margielyn Didal. The Olympic gold medalist landed at NAIA and was welcomed by Philippine Sports Commission officials.
