14 Jun – After much doubt and concern over vaccination, Dingdong Dantes announced that he and wife Marian Rivera have finally got themselves “sinovaxed” – in reference to the name of the COVID-19 vaccine.
“In our line of work, it is often necessary to shoot outdoors. When you’re about to enter the scene, you have to have your mask off. We need to remove our first line of defence against COVID-19,” he wrote.
Dantes stated that despite being nervous, he had more courage to get himself vaccinated after much research and consultation.

“This is my way of ensuring not only my health and safety, but also of my loved ones and my community,” he added.
He also expressed his thanks to the frontliners who organised the vaccination for the A4 Priority Group, which includes the media and the entertainment industry, delivery service riders, as well as the self-employed.
