Jennylyn Mercado is reportedly close to renewing her contract with GMA Network, following months of speculation.

While her contract has been expired for a few months, rumors about a potential transfer to ABS-CBN were quickly denied by both Jennylyn and her manager, Becky Aguila.

Back in July, during a Beautéderm brand endorsement event, Jennylyn addressed questions regarding her status with GMA Network. She made it clear that, despite the expired contract, there had been no offers from other networks.

Mercado emphasized her ongoing loyalty to GMA, stating, “Maraming nag-aantay ng sagot and ako naman, 20 years na akong Kapuso. I’m very thankful na hanggang ngayon, ako ay Kapuso pa rin.”

During the event, she also shared details about an upcoming movie project with her husband, Dennis Trillo, and Sam Milby under CreaZion Studios, which is slated for release this year. As for her contract with GMA Network, Mercado confirmed that negotiations are ongoing and expressed optimism about its renewal.

She added, “Meron pang nine-nego pero mabilis na lang po ‘yan. We’re just waiting for the contract pero happy pa rin ako maging Kapuso.”

Jennylyn rose to fame after winning ‘StarStruck’ in 2004 and has since become one of the most sought-after stars in Philippine entertainment. Her versatility as an actress and singer has garnered her numerous awards and widespread recognition, with her last TV appearance in ‘Love. Die. Repeat.’ airing earlier this year on GMA Network.
