Mother Lily Monteverde, film producer and the force behind Regal Entertainment, has already passed away.

Coach Goldwin Monteverde, the son of “Mother Lily,” revealed this in a text to ABS-CBN.
Mother Lily would have actually celebrated her 86th birthday on the 19th of August.
She is the one known for the success of many actors and actresses today.
Some of the “Regal Babies” include Alma Moreno, Dina Bonnevie, Ruffa Gutierrez, Maricel Soriano, etc.
It was only on July 29 that her husband, Leonardo Monteverde, also died from pneumonia.
He was 86 years old at the time of death.
The husband of Mother Lily was also very supportive of the local film industry.
The year 2024 already saw several celeb deaths. Some were members of the entertainment industry, others were a family member of a celeb. These deaths often bring heartbreak and sadness in the movie industry. The most recent death was that of the wife of Elvis Gutierrez, Alexa, the sister-in-law of Ruffa Gutierrez.

Rosalio “Yoyong” Martires, a PBA legend and Olympian, has passed away. He peacefully died at the age of 77 on June 18, his family announced. According to his daughter Moby Leah Martires’ Facebook post, Yoyong was “surrounded by his family and loved ones during this difficult time.” Aside from being an athlete, Yoyong also joined showbiz as a comedian and became involved in politics in Pasig City.
