Showbiz insider Ogie Diaz has responded to the growing controversy surrounding the title of his new TV5 game show ‘QuizMosa,’ which shares the same name as a segment on GMA Network’s ‘TiktoClock.’

The issue arose after the identical titles caused confusion among viewers.

In the latest episode of ‘Showbiz Updates’ on October 19, Ogie revealed that MediaQuest, the parent company of TV5, had secured the copyright for the title ‘QuizMosa.’

He mentioned, “Ang alam ko, ang MediaQuest ang siyang naunang magpa-copyright…ng ‘QuizMosa.’” Despite this, the identical segment on ‘TiktoClock,’ which began airing on October 16, has raised eyebrows.

Ogie took a diplomatic stance on the matter, stating, “Siguro pagandahan na lamang,” indicating that both shows could coexist. He expressed confidence in the uniqueness of his own program, saying, “Basta ang importante, naiiba po ang aming palabas.”

The confusion led to discussions in the entertainment industry, with veteran columnist Cristy Fermin also weighing in on the issue. However, Ogie maintained a positive outlook and noted that he has a good relationship with the hosts of ‘TiktoClock,’ Pokwang and Kim Atienza, adding, “Love ko naman ‘yang mga ‘yan.”

TV5’s ‘QuizMosa’ is set to officially launch on Monday, October 21, while GMA Network’s ‘TiktoClock’ has already started featuring its own version of ‘QuizMosa.’ Fortunately, both parties appear to be moving forward without escalating the matter to legal proceedings.
