The GMA Prime series “Widows’ War” and “Asawa Ng Asawa Ko (ANAK)” continue to be strong contenders in their respective timeslots, despite the weak performance of their pre-program, “Pulang Araw.”
According to the latest Nielsen NUTAM People survey, both “Widows’ War” and “ANAK” are holding their own against competitors “Lavender Fields” and “Pamilya Sagrado.”
On Monday, September 30, “Widows’ War” posted a rating of 8.0 percent, just 0.7 percent behind “Lavender Fields,” which earned 8.7 percent. “ANAK” led its timeslot with a 6.6 percent rating, 1.1 percent ahead of “Pamilya Sagrado” at 5.5 percent.
The following day, Tuesday, October 1, “Widows’ War” edged out “Lavender Fields” with a rating of 8.4 percent, slightly surpassing its rival’s 8.3 percent. Meanwhile, “ANAK” retained its lead with 7.0 percent, ahead of “Pamilya Sagrado’s” 5.3 percent.
On Wednesday, October 2, “Widows’ War” dipped slightly to 8.1 percent, while “Lavender Fields” improved to 9.1 percent. However, “ANAK” maintained its dominance, scoring 6.8 percent against “Pamilya Sagrado’s” 6.1 percent.
Thursday, October 3, saw “Widows’ War” rebound with a 0.3 percent increase, reaching 8.4 percent, though “Lavender Fields” also rose to 10.0 percent. “ANAK” experienced a small drop to 6.3 percent but remained ahead of “Pamilya Sagrado,” which posted 5.6 percent.
Finally, on Friday, “Widows’ War” closed the week with a rating of 7.7 percent, just 0.5 percent behind “Lavender Fields” at 8.2 percent.
These ratings demonstrate that “Widows’ War” and “ANAK” have built a solid viewership, remaining competitive despite the lackluster performance of their pre-program, “Pulang Araw.” While strong lead-in programming typically helps build momentum for subsequent shows, in this case, the two series have proven resilient, continuing to hold their own against their respective rivals.
