MANILA–Falcons AP Bren exacted its revenge at Liquid Echo and eliminated them from the MLBB Mid-Season Cup with a 3-1 win in their semifinal clash on Friday at the Amazon Arena in Riyadh.

In front of a sold-out crowd mostly composed of Filipinos already based in Saudi Arabia’s capital, the reigning M Series world champion got back at the reigning MPL Philippines champion, who swept them in the national finals last May, in convincing fashion, moving one step closer to winning the MSC crown.

Falcons AP Bren caught Liquid Echo by surprise in the best-of-five series opener when Angelo Arcangel brought in Julian as a middle laner, and it worked wonders as the Bren franchise dominated Game 1 and eventually raced to a 2-0 lead.

Liquid Echo seemingly found an answer to the Julian mid as Alston Pabico’s Luo Yi came alive in Game 3 to help his team pull one back at Falcons AP Bren.

However, Falcons AP Bren made a drafting decoy in Game 4 as Michael Sayson piloted Julian in the jungle with Arcangel using Faramis this time and once again quickly deposed Liquid Echo to officially eliminate them from title contention.

Falcons AP Bren, the first Filipino club to rule the MSC back in 2018, can secure its second pennant in the mid-year event with a finals win on Sunday against the winner of the Saturday semifinal between NIP Flash and Selangor.
