MANILA–Strong Group Athletics used a solid second-half defense to stifle Future Sports, 112-90, in their Jones Cup game on Thursday at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in New Taipei.

Engaging in a shootout in the first half, Strong Group adjusted its defense in the second half, and it worked, holding Future Sports to just 30 points after erupting for 60 in the first 20 minutes.

Chris McCollough led Strong Group, now 5-0 in the tournament, with 24 points, 18 rebounds, seven assists, three blocks, and two steals.

Tajuan Agee added 19 points, six rebounds, one assist, and one steal, while Ange Kouame went 4-for-4 from the field for 10 points and two rebounds.

Hammer Moss had 18 points and six rebounds for Future Sports, which fell to 1-4.
