Kapamilya actor Enrique Gil clarified and dismissed ongoing rumors suggesting a breakup between him and actress Liza Soberano.

The couple, popularly known as LizQuen, asserted that they are still together and emphasized that their hectic schedules are the primary reason behind their limited public appearances as a pair.

Both Gil and Soberano are currently engrossed in individual projects, with Gil actively promoting his upcoming movie, ‘I Am Not Big Bird,’ and Soberano deeply involved in her film, ‘Lisa Frankenstein.’

Gil explained, “I think we just, you know, realized na in life, parang we shouldn’t always be centered around each other… We can do more, grow more… and we can achieve more. And it just makes us better.”

The LizQuen tandem rose to fame through their successful love team, marked by the hit teleserye ‘Forevermore’ in 2014. Their collaborative journey continued with ‘Dolce Amore’ in 2016, ‘Bagani’ in 2018, and their last on-screen appearance as a couple in ‘Make It with You’ in 2020.

On the big screen, the duo starred in various films, including ‘She’s The One’ (2013), ‘Just The Way You Are’ and ‘Everyday I Love You’ (2015), ‘My Ex and Whys’ (2017), and ‘Alone/Together’ (2019).

Speculations surrounding a possible breakup surfaced in 2023 when Soberano’s former talent manager, Ogie Diaz, claimed that the couple had parted ways. Despite the rumors, Gil’s recent statement aims to put the conjectures to rest, reaffirming the enduring nature of their relationship.
