Kapuso star Barbie Forteza not only dazzled in a dreamy white ball gown but also demonstrated empathy and concern when beauty queen-actress Herlene Budol stumbled on stage.
The incident occurred as both actresses were being introduced to the guests at the GMA Gala 2024 on Saturday which took place at the grand ballroom of the Marriott Hotel.
However, aside from showcasing the elegant and dapper ensembles of Pinoy celebrities at the star-studded event, videos circulating online captured the moment of Herlene falling face-first on the stage floor.
In a heartwarming display of concern, Barbie, who had been smiling for the cameras, immediately ran towards Herlene in her ball gown and heels to offer assistance.
The genuine concern she showed did not go unnoticed as netizens quickly praised Barbie for her quick and caring response to her fellow star’s mishap.
Budol later addressed the accident on her social media pages.
Reflecting on the incident, she wrote, “Sa buhay kapag nadapa ka, bumangon ka. Hangga’t may buhay, may pag-asa. Walang susuko para sa pamilya”.
In another post, Herlene expressed her feelings about being laughed at following the fall.
“‘Pag nadapa hindi pinagtatawanan. Accident always happened! Sa palagay n’yo ba gusto ko ma-dapa?,” she remarked.
Herlene concluded, “Lahat ng tao nadadapa, naaksidente. Ang importante safe at di nasugatan”.
