he content creator delighted her fans with the news on her social media pages, where she posted a series of pictures showing her and JM clad in costumes resembling Hercules and his love interest Megara from the 1997 Disney film.

She began her caption by sharing how their love story first started on Feb. 16, 2022 when JM made her “pinky promise” to do a collaboration together.

“I thought we were only going to be friends. I was almost certain. If everyone knew in detail how I felt, and everything that transpired, you’d feel the same,” Donnalyn wrote.

She continued, “But the stars had something else written in them and during our exclusively dating phase, we assured each other promise rings, linked to the first promise we’d made to each other—a pinky kind for when we’re finally ready to be officially in a relationship.”

 

After their promise, the two of them then made gold rings “separately for both our left littlest fingers in secret.”

“It was a year and five months later from when he first tried to woo me. It was all after asking him to explore other hearts— to just find another heart whose not mine, but he proved to me that he’s found the heart that made him blind to all other hearts… a blessing it was, that it belonged to me,” Donnalyn wrote.

Once they’ve established their feelings for each other, the two of them flew to Japan to ask for the acceptance of Donnalyn’s parents. According to Donnalyn, it was why it took them a long time to go public with their romance.

“On June 22nd 2023… a Hercules costume I made him wear at a basketball court. He had a dream one night, ‘Nanaginip akong nasa basketball court tayo tapos sobrang saya natin,’ he told me,” the internet personality recounted.

“I called out Goddesses to sway and twirl for a play, while I was Megara singing her song about Hercules. What better way can you tell a theatre actor you adore him?” she added.

Donnalyn highlighted how she “just could no longer resist” one day and decided to make things official.

“He awakened the love I didn’t know I still had to give to someone again ever, and even though I no longer believe in forever… I believe in now,” she wrote.

“Spell it backwards and that’s what he has done, the match to capture my heart, I declare out loud: Juan Miguel won,” she added.

Many took the time to send heartfelt messages and well wishes to the couple in the comments section of her post.

“Congratulations po, you both deserve to be happy and feel loved,” one user commented.

Another one wrote, “Inabangan ko kayong dalawa, and finally the long wait is over!”

Donnalyn and JM first revealed that they are “exclusively dating” in a vlog in May. The latter previously expressed his desire to marry Donnalyn, writing in an Instagram post, “How I wish I could see you walk down the aisle.”
