Binabalak ng City of Manila na bigyan ng karangalan ang two-time Olympic gold medalist na si Carlos Yulo sa pamamagitan ng isang araw na holiday sa pangalan nito.
Sa panayam ng DWPM Radyo 630 kay Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna, sinabi nito na nagkaroon ng proposal sa kanilang local government na gawing holiday ang August 4 para kay Yulo.
Ito ang petsa na kanilang napili dahil ito rin ang mismong araw na nanalo ang Olympian ng unang medalyang ginto sa Paris Olympics 2024.
Inaasahan na mabibigyan ng approval ang proposal na ito ngayong araw, August 15.
Kung ito ay maaprubahan, magiging working holiday ang nasabing petsa sa city of Manila.
Noong August 6, nauna nang inanunsyo na ni Mayor Lacuna na magbibigay ang LGU ng Manila sa gold medalist ng halagang PHP2M at Php500K naman para sa atletang si EJ Obiena.
Ipipresenta ang mga cash incentives na ito sa darating na August 19.
